Emory University sophomore Alix Dyer recorded a NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 400-meter dash at the Clemson Games last weekend. Dyer finished eighth in the event with a time of 58.28 seconds, just two-hundredths of a second off her career-best indoor time. Her time was the fourth-fastest by a Division III runner in the 400-meter dash this season, and the fastest among all UAA competitors. Dyer also ran the anchor leg of Emory's 4x400-meter relay team, which finished seventh in a time of 4:04.97.
