Three members of the Emory University women's track and field
team qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, to
be held at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN, from March
12th - 13th.
Emory senior Brittany Donino qualified for the
55-meter hurdles with a mark of 8.31 seconds, tying her for the
eighth-best mark among Division III women this season.
Sophomore Lauren Attiah qualified in the triple
jump, with a season-best mark of 11.65 meters, the
11th-best Division III distance in the event in
2010. Rounding out Emory's qualifiers is freshman
Theresa Ford, whose height of 1.68 meters in the
high jump was the 10th best in Division III this
year.
This is the second indoor national appearance for Attiah, and the
first time for both Donino and Ford.
The women's high jump is slated for a 4:00 start on Friday, while
the preliminaries of the 55-meter hurdles will be held at 4:50 PM
on Friday. Should Donino advance, she will compete in the
55-meter hurdle finals on Saturday at 2:35 PM, while Attiah will
compete in the triple jump on Saturday at 3:00 PM.
