Emory University’s Lauren Attiah won a conference championship in the long jump, helping guide the Eagles to the 2011 University Athletic Association (UAA) Indoor Track and Field Championship. Attiah won the long jump with a provisional qualifying mark of 5.49 meters, marking the second-straight season she has won the indoor event. The junior earned all-UAA honors in the triple jump as well, finishing second with a leap of 11.20 meters. Attiah also finished tied for seventh in the high jump (1.53 meters) and ninth in the 55-meter dash (7.51 seconds). She scored 18 points for Emory, helping the Eagles to their second UAA Indoor Track and Field Championship.
