Emory University junior Lauren Attiah reached a provisional qualifying mark in the triple jump and was the Eagles’ top finisher in three other events at the Gem of the Hills Invitational last weekend.  Attiah’s leap of 11.42 meters was good for a fourth-place finish and six hundredths of a meter better than the NCAA provisional standard. She added a sixth-place finish in the high jump (1.50 meters), a seventh-place finish in the long jump (5.22 meters) and claimed 17^th-place in the 200-meter dash (26.65 seconds).  Attiah accounted for 8.5 of the Eagles’ 39 points scored at the meet, helping the team to a sixth-place finish out of 15 teams.
