Emory University sophomore Melanie Frank won the unseeded mile run and finished 14th in the unseeded 800-meter run at the Niswonger Invitational last weekend. Frank’s time of 5:14.29 in the mile was good for the top-finish in the event among the 48 competitors, and the best mark of the season in the event by an Eagle. Her time of 2:23.98 in the 800-meter run placed her 14th out of 80 competitors, and first among non-NCAA Division I competitors.
