Emory University junior Tess Gallegos won the 5,000-meter run with a personal-record time, while competing at the Emory Invitational, the opening meet of the outdoor track and field season. Gallegos recorded a time of 18:09.97 in the event over 25 seconds better than her previous personal-best time in the 5,000-meter run. She scored 10 points for the Eagles during the meet.
