Adjibaba, Attiah & Dyer

Emory University senior Lauren Attiah, senior Alix Dyer and freshman Debora Adjibaba were each a part of two all-America relays at the 2012 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships last weekend.  In the 4x400-meter relay, with Adjibaba running the leadoff leg, Attiah the second and Dyer the anchor, the Eagles finished third to score six points for the team.  The relay’s time of 3:46.35 was more than a second faster than the school-record time, set during the event’s preliminaries earlier in the week.  In the 4x100-meter relay, with Dyer running the second leg, Attiah the third and Adjibaba the anchor, Emory finished fourth with a school-record time of 46.87 seconds, scoring five more points for the team.  Attiah also finished 13th in the triple jump with a leap of 11.67 meters, and 19th in the long jump with a distance of 5.47 meters, while Dyer finished 13th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.21 seconds.  The two relays accounted for all of Emory’s 11 points during the meet, helping the Eagles to an 18th-place finish, matching the second-best national finish in the program’s history.
