Emory University freshman Stephanie Crane set a school record in the mile run at the NYU Division III Challenge on Saturday. Crane’s raw time of 5:01.92 was good for a third-place finish, and broke former Eagle Angela Davie’s record of 5:05.03, set during the 2005 University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships. The time, when adjusted for the banked turns at the Armory Track & Field Center, ranks as the fourth-best in the UAA this season, and the 20th-best Division III mark.
