Emory University senior Alix Dyer broke school records in both the 400-meter dash and as the anchor leg of the 4x400-meter relay at the Georgia Tech Invitational last weekend. Dyer ran a 400-meter dash time of 56.34 seconds, passing Kaele Leonard’s previous school record time of 56.54 seconds, set last week. She finished in 16th-place at the meet, and her time ranks as the 11th-fastest mark in Division III this season. She ran the anchor leg of the Eagles’ record-setting 4x400-meter relay team, which finished eighth in a time of 3:48.96, the sixth-fastest mark by a Division III squad this season. Dyer also ran the second leg of the Eagles’ 13th-place 4x100-meter relay team, whose time of 47.43 seconds was the squad’s second-fastest of the year.
