Emory University senior Tess Gallegos broke the school record in the 3,000-meter run, while competing at last weekend’s Vulcan Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama.  Gallegos finished 10^th overall in the event with a time of 10:09.69, besting the previous school record of 10:11.34, set by Melissa Jones during the 2007 season.  Her time was the fourth-best among all University Athletic Association (UAA) competitors this season.
