Emory University senior Tess Gallegos set a school record in the 5,000-meter run at the Duke Invitational last weekend. Gallegos finished fourth in the event with a time of 17:18.98, the eighth-best time by a Division III athlete this season. She broke the previous school record of 17:26.31, set by former Eagle Angela Davie in 2002. The mark was 46.24 seconds better than her previous career best time.
