Emory University junior Kaele Leonard helped the Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay team set a school record during the Birmingham Invitational last week.  Leonard ran the third leg of the relay, which finished sixth in the event with a time of 3:57.36, besting the previous school record by almost a full second.  It was the top converted time in the University Athletic Association (UAA) by over 11 seconds, and ranks sixth among Division III teams this year.  Also at the Birmingham Invitational, Leonard recorded the second-fastest UAA time this season in the 200-meter dash, finishing 34^th in the event with a time of 26.52 seconds.  She finished off her weekend at the Clemson Invitational, finishing 14^th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.63 seconds, the fastest converted mark in the UAA and 26^th in Division III.
