Emory University sophomore Morgan Monroe qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in the 100-meter hurdles with her time in the event at the North Central College Gregory Invitational last week. Monroe ran a time of 14.53 seconds, the fastest time this season by an Eagle, the 20th-best time in Division III this season, and the sixth-best mark in school history. She finished fourth in the finals of the event with a time of 14.86 seconds. Monroe also finished 12th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.74 seconds, and second as the anchor leg of Emory’s 4x100-meter relay with a time of 47.95 seconds. Monroe will compete in the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division III Championships later this week.
