Emory University head coach John Curtin was named the 2013 South/Southeast Region Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Curtin guided the Eagles to the 2013 University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championship, marking the fourth-consecutive year that Emory has claimed the conference's outdoor title.  In addition, he oversaw seven of his athletes qualify for six individual events and two relays at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Next up for Curtin and the Eagles will be the 2013 NCAA Championships from Thursday, May 23rd through Saturday, May 25th at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.
