Emory University sophomore Electra Korn was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week for Track and Field after her performance at the Gregory Invitational last Friday.

Korn recorded a career-best time in the 400-meter dash, and helped the Eagles' 4x400-meter relay team record a season-best mark.  She finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.27 seconds, a .4-second improvement on her previous career-best time, and the 28^th-fastest mark in Division III this season.  She also helped Emory's 4x400-meter relay record a second-place finish, running the second leg of the relay and helping the squad to a time of 3:49.48, the seventh-best time in Division III this season and the fourth-best mark in school history. 

This was Korn's second career UAA Athlete of the Week selection.  She will be competing at the 2013 NCAA Championships as a part of Emory's 4x400-meter relay team this weekend.
