Emory University freshman Zoe Fowler recorded the seventh-best distance in the weight throw in the program’s history at the Emory Crossplex Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday.  Fowler finished fifth overall in the event with a career-best mark of 13.38 meters, improving on her previous career-best by 1.82 meters.  It was also the third-best throw by a University Athletic Association competitor this season.  Her performance earned four points towards the Eagles’ team total, helping Emory finish second at the meet.
