Emory University senior Electra Korn recorded the fastest 400-meter dash and second-fastest 200-meter dash times by an NCAA Division III competitor this season, while in action at the Emory Crossplex Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday. Korn won the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.57 seconds, the second-fastest mark in school history, and the fastest converted time in Division III by over three-tenths of a second. She later finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.18 seconds, also the second-fastest time in the program’s history. In addition, her mark in the event was the fastest raw time by a Division III athlete in the event this year. Korn also competed in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing sixth with a time of 9.29 seconds, a personal-best mark and the 25th-fastest Division III time for the campaign. Korn contributed 18 points towards the Eagles’ team total, helping the squad finish second at the meet.
