Emory University senior Hannah Smith won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2015 University Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday.  Smith claimed first in the event with a time of 10:57.50, the seventh-fastest in school history and the 16^th-fastest by a Division III competitor this year.  She became just the third Eagle to break the 11-minute barrier in the event, and her time was 10.23 second improvement on her previous career-best time (and a near 24-second improvement on her career-best mark entering the season).  Smith returned the next day to score in the 1,500-meter run, finishing seventh in the event with a career-best time of 4:44.96.  Her 12 points scored during the meet helped the Eagles finish third, marking the squad’s 12^th-consecutive top-three finish at the meet.
