17 From Emory Track & Field Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

17 members of the Emory University Track and Field teams were recognized as USTFCCCA Academic All-Americans or their athletic and academic efforts during the 2016-17 season.

In order to be named a USTFCCCA Academic All-American a student-athlete must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale through the most recently completed grading period, must have finished the season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS, must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relays teams or also must have compete at either the Indoor or Outdoor NCAA Division III National Championships.

Earning Academic All-America recognition for the women were Dani Bland, Mia Eisenhandler, Erica Goldman, Amy Hunter, Kaitlyn Leonard, Julia Leventhal, Ariana Newhouse, Dilys Osei, Isabel Saridakis, Radhika Shah, Gabrielle Stravach and Clare Ubersax.

For the men, Max Brown, Charlie Hu, Lukas Mees, Benjamin Rogin and Bennett Shaw were all selected to the Academic All-America team.

In addition both the Emory men's and women's teams were chosen as USTFCCCA All-America teams based on their cumulative grade-point averages. The men's team checked in with a 3.42 GPA while the women posted a 3.45.
