Women's Track & Field Competes at Gregory Invitational in Final NCAA Tune-Up

In the final tune-up prior to next week's NCAA Division III Championships, members of the Emory University women's track and field team competed at the Gregory Invitational at North Central College on Wednesday and Thursday.

The 4x100m relay team featuring seniors Dilys Osei, Dani Bland, sophomore Rebekah Bondi and freshman Hannah Lansberry recorded the sixth fastest time in school history as they finished first in the event on Thursday at 47.11. Their time also marked the fastest by an Eagle group during this outdoor season.

In the pole vault, junior Isabel Saridakis placed fourth out of 18 competitors as she registered a height of 3.68m and in the hammer, senior Paris Wagner finished sixth out of 10 with a throw of 49.08m. Junior Nyla Lindo rounded out the Emory field performers as she came in 10th in the long jump at 5.00m. Senior Ariana Newhouse added an eighth place finish in the 400m Dash as she clocked in with a time of 59.54.

The NCAA selections for the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, held from May 23 through 25th in Geneva, Ohio, will be announced on ncaa.com the morning of Saturday, May 18th.
