Emory Track & Field Makes Return with Clark Atlanta Invitational

After seeing the remainder of the indoor season and the full outdoor slate get cancelled last Spring, the Emory University track & field teams return to action this Sunday, March 21 with the Clark Atlanta Invitational.

Head Coach Linh Nguyen will see a mix of veteran returners and a fresh crop of newcomers on both the men’s and women’s teams for the 2021 outdoor season, headlined by returning All-Americans and All-Region performers from the 2020 indoor season.

For the women, the indoor All-American trio of Isabel Saridakis (Pole Vault), Rebekah Bondi (60m Dash) and Laura Sheckter (Shot Put) are back for the 2021 outdoor season. Bondi and Sheckter added UAA event championships in their respective events while Sheckter was tabbed as the USTFCCCA South/Southeast Regional Field of the Year.

In addition to Bondi (60m Dash/200m Dash/Long Jump), Sheckter (Shot Put) and Saridakis (Pole Vault), the Emory women return several other All-Region performers including Claire Evans (4x400m), Shana Fitzmaurice (DMR), Hannah Lansberry (400m/4x400m), Ana Morris (DMR) and Michelle Rosenblum (4x400m) as well as All-UAA shot put performer Alex Devaux.

The Emory men’s team roster features Liam Fost (400m Dash) and Patrick Osborne (Pole Vault) as returning All-UAA indoor performers as well as John Cox (5000m Run), Matthew Dillon (5000m Run), Jon Marcus (DMR), William McGuire (DMR) and Spencer Moore (DMR, Mile) as All-Region indoor performers from 2020.
