Sophomore Jessica McAlvany turned in a big week in helping the
No. 1 Eagles' volleyball team to a 5-0 record.
McAlvany averaged a team-best 3.8 kills per set and posted a 35.8
attack percentage as Emory opened the campaign with a win over West
Georgia before rattling off four victories at the Emory
Classic.
The 6-1 McAlvany registered double digits in kills in all five
outings and led or tied for team honors in kills in four matches
including a 16-terminations performance against SUNY-New Paltz in
the final contest of the emory Classic that sparked a 3-0
win.
The No. 1-ranked Emory volleyball team returns to action, Sept.
11-12, when it competes at the Washington & Lee Tournament.
