Junior setter Natalie Schonefeld earned a spot
on the Emory National Invitational Tournament after helping the
Eagles to a 4-0 record.
Schonefeld averaged 11.42 assists while playing in all 12 of the
team's sets, and her precise setting helped the Eagles hit 28.4
percent over the weekend. In addition, she averaged 2.42 digs
per game in helping Emory raise its overall record to 27-4.
In a 3-0 triumph over Randolph-Macon on Saturday, she dished out 44
assists and contributed nine digs and followed that performance
with 35 assists and six digs in a 3-0 decision over Washington
& Lee.
Heading into the UAA Championships this weekend (Nov. 5-6),
Schonefeld stands No. 2 on the UAA ladder with a 10.87 assists
per-set average. Career-wise, she has doled out 3,924
assists, good for the No. 2 on the school's career ladder.
