The Emory University volleyball program’s incoming
freshman class has been recognized as one of the premier groups in
the nation by Prepvolleyball.com.
The Eagles’ eight-member contingent earned High Honorable
Mention acclaim by the website and was the lone Division III
program among the 95 teams that were recognized. The
recruiting classes were broken down by the Top 30 (Texas No. 1,
Penn State No. 2), Highest Honorable Mention and High Honorable
Mention. Other program’s that shared High Honorable
Mention Honors with Emory included Boston College, Marquette
University, Michigan State and Oklahoma.
The eight rookies who will be competing on the 2011 Emory
volleyball team include Kate Bowman (Corpus Christi, TX), Hannah
Everett (Rossville, TN), Dana Holt (Moraga, CA), Leah Jacobs
(Linville, VA), Cat McGrath (St. Louis, MO), Cami Silverman
(Bellevue, WA), Camden Spade (Raleigh, NC) and Olivia Volarich (St.
Louis, MO).
