The No. 4-ranked Emory volleyball team closed out a successful
weekend at the Wid Guisler Invitational on Saturday afternoon with
an impressive 3-0 win over Williams College. The Eagles upped
their overall record to 23-4 following a 25-7, 25-16, 25-12 win
over the Ephs.
Sophomore Breanah Bourque totaled a team-high13
kills to lead three double-figure performers in that
category. Senior Amelia McCall and junior
Jessica McAlvany each chalked up 11 terminations with McAlvany
adding three block solos to the cause. Other key efforts were
turned in by junior Natalie Schonefeld with 31
assists, eight digs and two block solos and senior Kelsey Krzyston
with three service aces.
The Eagles, winners of their last six matches, return to action
next Friday when they host the first day of the Emory National
Invitational with contests against Birmingham Southern (5:00 p.m.)
and Maryville (7:30 p.m.).
