Senior Amelia McCall led the Emory effort in the Newport News
NCAA Regional, averaging a team-high 4.89 kills per set while
finishing with a team-leading .379 hitting percentage. In the
semifinals of the Regional, she led all players with 19
terminations, hit .395 and contributed five digs as the Eagles
posted a 3-1 victory over Randolph-Macon. In the finals against
host and No.6-ranked Christopher Newport, the 5-foot-10 McCall
pounded out a match-best 17 kills en route to a .400 attack
percentage (17-3—35), and chipped in eight digs. McCall
closed out the year with 27 matches of double-figure kills and her
season total of 489 places her fifth on the school’s yearly
chart.
