Junior right side Alena Ransom helped the Eagles to a 3-0 mark at the UAA Round Robin I, playing in 10 of the team’s 12 sets and posting a hitting percentage of .459 (19-2—37) along with a team-high 0.80 blocks per-set average. In the team’s Round Robin finale against Case Western, the 5-foot-9 Ransom hit .500 (8-0—16) and contributed five block assists as Emory recorded a 3-1 victory. Against No. 16 Chicago, she totaled nine kills and chipped in a pair of block assists as the Eagles came away with a hard-fought 3-2 triumph.
