Emory's 'Eye On The Eagles' Comes To Facebook

The Emory volleyball program will be highlighted in the initial  'Eye On The Eagles' feature on the athletic department's Facebook profile (https://www.facebook.com/EmoryEagles) this weekend during the Eagles' National Invitational Tournament.

Head coach Jenny McDowell, who recently notched her 500th career win and who is one win shy of guiding Emory to its 13th 30-win campaign in her 16 seasons at the helm of the program, will answer questions and comments regarding the weekend and Emory volleyball in general.

Anyone is welcome to watch the videos online for free. To comment or ask questions, however, viewers must have a Facebook registration and be logged in.

To receive new videos in Facebook newsfeeds, users should become a Fan of Emory athletics on Facebook by clicking on "Like" at the top of the page (http://facebook.com/EmoryEagles).   Once a fan, you will be able to submit your questions to the comments section below Coach McDowell's introductory video (which will be posted Friday morning), with McDowell answering them following the conclusion of the tournament on Saturday afternoon with her responses and thoughts posted via video on the fan page.

Emory athletics hopes to showcase its coaches and student-athletes throughout the year on Facebook on an ongoing basis.

Launched in 2004, Facebook is a social networking service with more than 800 million active users. Ranked  as the most used social networking service by worldwide monthly active users, a 2010 study done by Social Media Today,   an estimated 41.6% of the U.S. population had a Facebook account.
