Emory University senior outside hitter Amelia McCall (Montgomery, AL) has been named the University Athletic Association Volleyball Player of the Week following her performance at the Newport News NCAA Regional.  It is the third time this season and fifth time in her career that she has been tabbed for the honor.

The 5-foot-10 McCall averaged a team-high 4.89 kills per set and posted an impressive attack percentage of .379 (44-8—95) as the Eagles reached the championship round of the regional.  In a 3-1 win over Randolph-Macon in the semifinals, she paced all players with 19 kills en route to a .395 hitting percentage and also contributed five digs.  In the finals against No. 6-ranked Christopher Newport, she produced a match-best 17 terminations and hit .400 (17-3—35).

McCall helped the Eagles to a final record of 36-5, with that win total tying for the top mark in school history, by pounding out a team and UAA-leading 3.94 kills per set with her 489 terminations ranking fifth on the school's seasonal ladder.  On the year, she totaled 27 matches of double-figure kills including three of 20 or more.
