Some of the nation’s premiere collegiate coaches will be
coming to Emory University this summer when they conduct The Art of
Coaching Volleyball Clinic Series. The two-day clinic will be
held June 2-3, 2012, at the Woodruff PE Center and the Auditorium
in the Woodruff Science Center.
Among the coaches appearing include Russ Rose, head coach of
five-time NCAA champion Penn State University, John Dunning, the
head coach at Stanford University who has four national titles to
his credit, two with the Cardinal and a pair while he served as the
head coach at Pacific, Terry Liskevych, the head coach at Oregon
State and former head coach of the United States Women’s
National Volleyball team, Emory head coach Jenny McDowell, who
guided the Eagles to the 2008 NCAA D-III national title, University
of Georgia head coach Lizzy Stemke, Georgia Tech University head
coach Tonya Johnson and Mark Barnard, the associate head coach at
Oregon State.
The focus of the clinic will be the presentation of diverse
perspectives on volleyball techniques, tactics, drills, practice,
physical conditioning and mental training.
There are discounts for registering early (prior to March 3, 2012)
and for groups of two or three individuals.
