Some of the nation’s premiere collegiate coaches will be coming to Emory University this summer when they conduct The Art of Coaching Volleyball Clinic Series.  The two-day clinic will be held June 2-3, 2012, at the Woodruff PE Center and the Auditorium in the Woodruff Science Center.

Among the coaches appearing include Russ Rose, head coach of five-time NCAA champion Penn State University, John Dunning, the head coach at Stanford University who has four national titles to his credit, two with the Cardinal and a pair while he served as the head coach at Pacific, Terry Liskevych, the head coach at Oregon State and former head coach of the United States Women’s National Volleyball team, Emory head coach Jenny McDowell, who guided the Eagles to the 2008 NCAA D-III national title, University of Georgia head coach Lizzy Stemke, Georgia Tech University head coach Tonya Johnson and Mark Barnard, the associate head coach at Oregon State.

The focus of the clinic will be the presentation of diverse perspectives on volleyball techniques, tactics, drills, practice, physical conditioning and mental training.
