Sophomore Leah Jacobs helped the No. 6-ranked
Eagles' volleyball team to a 2-1 mark at the Emory National
Invitational.
The 5-foot-10 outside hitter played in eight of the team's 11 sets
over the weekend and averaged 2.12 kills per set while posting an
impressive .378 attack percentage (17-3--37). She opened the
final day of the Invitational with nine kills, a .421 hitting
percentage (9-1--19), four digs and one block in a 3-1 win over
Washington & Lee before closing out the weekend with seven
terminations and three digs in a 3-0 triumph vs. UMASS-Boston.
Emory, 29-5 on the year, returns to action the weekend of Nov. 2-3
when it hosts the University Athletic Association
Championships.
