Senior Breanah Bourque was named the MVP of the Emory Invitational after helping the No. 6-ranked Eagles to a 4-0 record. The 5-foot-11 Bourque hit a team-best .403 (39-8--77) over the weekend and also paced the team with a 1.15 blocks-per-set average.
Bourque topped the squad in kills in two matches, pounding out 17 terminations in a 3-1 victory over No. 12 Elmhurst and a dozen in a 3-0 verdict over Maryville College. She also recorded five blocks in each of those contests. So far this year, Bourque has recorded double-figure terminations in 11 of the 16 matches she has seen action in.
