The No. 6-ranked Emory volleyball team prepped for its appearance at Juniata College's Wid Guisler on Wednesday by earning a decision over NAIA member Point Park University. The Eagles upped their overall record to 24-4 following 25-21, 25-23, 25-20 decision over the Pioneers who slipped to 20-6.
Senior Breanah Bourque headed up a balanced Emory offensive attack with 17 kills, her 20th match of double figures in that category this season, and was aided by sophomore Cat McGrath's 10 terminations. Senior Alex Duhl and sophomore Cami Silverman chipped in eight and seven kills, respectively. Freshman Taylor Erwin recorded a team-high 20 digs with Silverman adding 14 defensive saves. Freshman Sydney Miles doled out 45 assists.
Emory returns to action on Friday (Oct. 19) when it tangles with host and No. 21-ranked Juniata at the Guisler Invitational.
