Sophomore setter Sydney Miles helped the No. 7-ranked Eagles to a championship effort at the Atlanta Regional of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Miles directed the Emory offensive attack with a steady hand,
averaging 10.36 assists per set in helping the squad post a fine
attack percentage of .334 over the weekend. In addition, she
averaged 2.09 assists and 0.73 blocks per set.
After totaling 28 assists and dishing out seven service aces in a
3-0 first-round win over Agnes Scott, Miles came up with 39
assists, nine digs and four block assists in a 3-1 decision over
Berry. In the Regional Final vs. Colorado College, Miles
racked up 47 assists along with seven kills, 10 digs and four
blocks as the Eagles caged the Tigers by a 3-1 score.
Miles has dished out 1,334 assists this year, good for 10th place
on Emory's seasonal ladder.
