Sophomore Jessica Holler contributed outstanding offensive and
defensive play in helping the No. 6-ranked Eagles to the UAA
Championship, the program’s fourth title in the past six
seasons.
Holler played in all 10 of the team’s sets over three matches
and tied for the squad lead with a 3.00 kills-per-game mark while
hitting .413 (30-4—63). She led or tied for team honors
in terminations in two contests including a 13-kills outing vs.
Chicago in the title match. Holler also averaged 0.90 blocks
per set, good for a second-place tie on the team.
So far this year, Holler has produced double-figure kills in 11 of
her 28 matches and claims eight outings of five or more blocks.
Heading into the NCAA Tournament, Holler leads all UAA
players in hitting percentage (.407) and blocks (1.20 bps).
