Senior outside hitter Leah Jacobs played a key role in helping
the Eagles' volleyball team to a 4-0 week.
Jacobs averaged 3.64 kills per set and posted an attack percentage
of .412 (40-7--80) as Emory raised its record to 18-2 on the year.
She paced the squad in terminations in two matches, totaling
11 successful attack attempts in a 3-0 win decision over Maryville,
and then topping all performers with 16 kills, her 13th performance
in double figures in that category this season, while hitting a
blistering .600 (16-1--25) in a 3-1 verdict over Oglethorpe.
She also dished out three service aces and chipped in four
digs against the Stormy Petrels.
Through matches played Sept. 28, Jacobs leads Emory with a 3.87
kills-per-set mark and is hitting at a .313 clip
(267-71--627).
