Senior Leah Jacobs helped the No. 3-ranked Eagles' volleyball
team to a 3-0 record at the UAA Round Robin I.
Jacobs played in all 11 of the team's sets and paced the club in
both kills (5.09 kps) and hitting percentage (.425) as Emory
boosted its overall record to 21-2 (3-0 UAA). She was the
squad's top terminator in two matches with those being 23-kills
performances, tying her second-highest career total, against Case
Western (3-0 win) and Carnegie Mellon (3-2 victory). She hit
.350 or higher in all three contests including .487 vs. CWRU
(23-4--39) and .435 vs. Rochester (10-0--23). In addition to her
hitting totals, Jacobs dished out a team-high eight service
aces.
On the year, she has registered 16 matches of double-figure kills
and has chalked up four performances of 20 or more
terminations.
