Sophomore Sarah Maher captured MVP honors after helping the No.
5-ranked Eagles to a championship performance at the St. Louis
Regional of the NCAA D-III Volleyball Tournament.
Maher played all 11 sets over the three matches and averaged 2.18
kills and 2.27 digs per set as Emory boosted its overall record to
37-3. Maher came up with a stellar effort in the title match
of the regional, racking up 16 terminations, tying her
second-highest total, hitting .317 (16-3--41) and coming up with a
career-high 12 digs.
Maher's MVP award at the Regional capped off a memorable week,
after receiving Second Team all-UAA honors and AVCA All-South
Region accolades prior to the start of the tournament.
