Senior outside hitter Leah Jacobs was one of two Emory players
to earn a spot on the NCAA Volleyball Championships All-Tournament
Team.
Jacobs played in all 13 of the team's sets over the three matches
and averaged a squad-high 4.46 kills per set while posting a
hitting percentage of .307 (58-15--140). Jacobs pounded out
a match-high 21 terminations and recorded . 559
attack percentage (21-2--34) in a 3-1 victory over Williams
College in the quarterfinals and followed that with another
21-kills effort in a 3-1 decision over No. 6-ranked UW-Stevens
Point in the semifinals. In the championship encounter vs.
No. 2 Hope College, Jacobs tied for the No. 2 spot on the team with
16 successful attack attempts and contributed 11 digs for her
second double-double of the season.
Her 554 kills this year where second most in program history
and her 3.74 kills-per-set average was good for the No. 7
spot on the Eagles' seasonal chart.
