Junior middle Jessica Holler hit a team-high .444 (43-7--81) and led the Eagles with an average of 0.75 blocks per set at the Emory National Invitational.
Holler posted double-figure kills in three of the four matches at the Invitational, which saw her tally a mark of 2.69 terminations per game, good for the No. 2 spot on the club. One of her performances saw her pound out a season-high 15 kills, tying her third-highest career total, en route to a hitting mark of .429 (15-3--28) in a five-set battle vs. No. 10-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. She also chipped in a season-best eight digs against the Athenas. Prior to the CMS contest, Holler hit a season-best .526 on the strength of 11 kills (second on the team) with just one error in 19 swings against No. 2-ranked Calvin. She also came through with three (1-2) total blocks against the Knights.
On the year, Holler is pacing the team in both hitting percentage (.388, 72-13--152) and blocks per set (0.79 bps).
