Junior Sarah Maher helped the No. 3-ranked Eagles to a 6-0 record during the week that included four wins at the UAA Round Robin II.
The 6-foot Maher played in all 21 of the team's sets ranked second on the team in kills average (2.77 kps), hit .288 (57-15--146) and averaged 2.29 digs and 0.38 blocks per set as the Eagles closed out the weekend 26-2 overall, 7-0 in league action.
She opened the week hitting .700 (7-0--10) in a 3-0 verdict over Piedmont College before ranking second on the team with 12 terminations (10 digs) in a 3-1 win over Division II member Lee University. After totaling nine terminations and 10 digs in a 3-2 triumph over No. 1 Washington University in the UAA opener, Maher topped the squad with 11 kills and a .409 attack percentage (11-2--22) in a 3-0 verdict over the University of Rochester. On the final day of action, she was second on the team with eight kills and chipped in four blocks (2-2) vs. NYU before closing out the weekend with 10 successful attack attempts (her 15th double-figure effort of the season), a .308 hitting effort (10-2--26) and seven digs in a 3-0 decision over No. 15 Chicago.
