Senior Sydney Miles turned in outstanding play at her setter position in helping the Eagles to a 5-0 record on the week.

Miles played in all of team's 17 sets over the five contests and averaged 11.7 assists, 2.41 digs and 1.00 kills per game.  

After doling out 33 assists and a pair of service aces in a season-opening 3-0 win over Birmingham Southern, Miles earned a berth on the Calvin College Labor Day Weekend Invitational All-Tournament Team after leading Emory to a 4-0 record, averaging 11.93 assists, 2.57 digs and 0.94 blocks per set.  After opening with a 34-assists, team-high 11-digs triumph over Thomas More, Miles directed the team to a  3-1 victory over No. 1-ranked Calvin, totaling 48 assists, six digs and four block assists.  Her steady direction of the Emory offense helped it hit .307 (197-53--469) over the four matches.
