Four members of the No. 2-ranked Emory volleyball program earned first-team berths on the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-South Region Team.  

The Eagles' four selections dominated the 14-player team, with Berry College and Birmingham Southern next up with two honorees.

Senior setter Sydney Miles (Oklahoma City, OK) landed her fourth berth on the team while junior Jessica Holler (Roswell, GA) played her onto the all-region team for the third occasion.  Other Emory representatives included juniors Sarah Maher (Orange, CA) and Kathryn Trinka (North Bay Village, FL).  Freshman Becky Breuer garnered honorable-mention acclaim.

With their selections, Miles, Holler, Trinka and Maher are all eligible for All-America honors with those teams being announced later in the month.

In addition, Jenny McDowell was chosen as the South Region's Coach of the Year.  Heading into the NCAA D-III Tournament, McDowell had guided Emory to an overall record of 32-3.  It is the seventh time in her 20-year tenure with the Eagles that she had been tabbed for the award.
