Karissa Dzurik

Senior Karissa Dzurik was one of the Emory volleyball team's primary offensive weapons at the East-West Challenge held on the campus of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Dzurik played in all 13 sets over the three matches and ranked second on the squad with an average of 2.62 kills per game. In addition, she averaged 0.92 digs and 0.31 blocks per set as the Eagles closed out the weekend with an overall record of 8-3.

Dzurik registered double-figure kills in two of the three contests including 13 (second on the club) in a 3-1 triumph over UT-Dallas, a match that saw her lead the squad with a .393 attack percentage (13-2--28) while chipping in a season-best six digs. Her performance against the Comets represented her sixth outing of 10 or more terminations this year. In the first bout of the Challenge, a five-set clash against No. 13 Juniata, she tied for second on the team with 12 kills.

Through matches played Sept. 15, Karissa stands second on the team with a mark of 2.84 kills over 38 sets of action.
