Emory University junior Cassie Srb was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week as announced late Monday afternoon. It is the first weekly honor for the volleyball program this season and the second career honor for Srb.
Srb dished out 39 or more assists in Emory's three UAA Championship games, helping the Eagles to a runner-up finish this past weekend in Cleveland, OH. Srb averaged 12.50 assists per set while adding 10 total kills and 20 combined digs across the three games. For the season, Srb leads all UAA players with 9.32 assists per set.
The Eagles return to the court Thursday night as they take on Southern Virginia University in the first round of the NCAA tournament. First serve is scheduled for 8:00 PM at the Woodruff PE Center.
