The Emory University volleyball program continues their impressive season taking down the Maryville Scots in three-set fashion on Friday night in Atlanta, Georgia with a 25-16, 25-19, 25-14 line. Sophomore Olivia Rabinowitz recorded 20 assists on the night to reach 1,000 career assists. She was presented with a game ball from the coaching staff following the match.

The Eagles now sit 12-0 on the season, tying the best start to a season in team history. The 2015 Emory squad was the first to complete the feat. Senior Carly Wallace and junior Lily Martin continue to lead the way for the Eagles with both posting nine kills on the night while junior Madison Cail led the team with a .455 hitting percentage. Rabinowitz led the team with her 20 assists followed by 16 from sophomore Ioanna Copulos.

Emory started the first set strong taking a 5-0 lead before going on a six-point run later in the set highlighted from attack errors from the Scots giving the Eagles a 13-4 lead. The set went back-and-forth with Emory holding a 19-10 lead at the second timeout. Kills from Cail and sophomore Kaya Monrose finished out the set and the Eagles took the first set 25-16.

The Scots played a better second set holding a 7-3 lead over Emory after a five-point run. The Eagles slowly pushed back down just 15-14 at the first timeout. Two four-point runs from Emory gave them a 22-17 lead pushing Maryville to take another timeout. Back-to-back kills from Cail and junior Alana Dawson clinched the second set for Emory 25-19.

The Eagles went on more big scoring runs in the third set holding an 11-6 lead over Maryville at the first break. The scoring continued into the set giving Emory a 20-13 lead. The Eagles took set three with a 25-14 decision.
