Susan Coole joined the Emory volleyball program as an assistant
coach in August of 2006.
Coole, a native of Mansfield, Penn., has been a resident of Atlanta
since 1995 when she moved to work for the 1996 Olympic
Committee. Since 2002, she has worked at the Suwanee Sports
Academy where she served as the head coach for grassroots
programming. In addition, she was the coach of that club's
16s team as well as directing the club's first regional year-round
comprehensive volleyball development program for ages 12 and up. In
2003 and 2004, Coole was the head coach for the Vertical One Club
team's 15s and 16s teams.
As a member of the Oglethorpe University athletic department, Coole
was an assistant coach for the volleyball and basketball squads
(1998 and 1999) and was the schools's golf coach.
Coole attended Hamilton College (NY) where she competed on the
volleyball and basketball teams. She earned her degree in
comparative literature in 1994.
