Sophomore Tess Gallegos helped the Eagles to a
runner-up effort at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championships
last weekend in Greensboro, NC. Gallegos was the first Eagle
to cross the finish line and ninth out of 189 entries with a 6K
performance of 24:04. It marked the second time in six races
this year that she was the team's top runner and enabled her to
capture all-region acclaim for the second straight year.
Emory's finish earned it an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships
next weekend in Cleveland.
