After taking a break from competition last weekend, the Emory
men's and women's cross country teams resume action on Saturday
when they compete at the University of Georgia Invitational.
The men's 8K begins at 8:00 a.m. and will be followed by the
women's 5K at 9:00 a.m. Both races will be held at the UGA
Equestrian Complex in Bishop, GA.
Among the teams competing will be the University of Georgia,
Georgia State, North Georgia and Morehouse College.
The 18th-ranked men's team will likely sit out veterans
Tommy Fyffe, Charlie Meade, Paul Winterhalter and Alex Robin with
that group gearing up for next week's Griak Invitational in
Minneapolis.
The 27th-ranked women's side looks forward to continuing
its momentum from its third-place performance out of 11 teams at
the season-opening Sewanee Invitational on Sept. 5. Senior
Rebecca Flink paced the Emory contingent with a sixth-place showing
overall in the 110-runner field.
