Results
The Emory University women's cross country team closed out the
2010 season this afternoon with a 26th-place finish out
of 32 teams at the NCAA Division III Championships. The
competition was held at the Max Cross Country Course and hosted by
Wartburg College (IA).
The Eagles finished with a team total of 582 points. Taking
home the team title was Middlebury with 185 points.
Washington University was runner-up with 193 points while MIT took
home third place with 214 points. UW-Eau Claire (218 pts) and
Williams (230 pts.) rounded out the top five finishers.
Senior Natalie Fenn was the first Emory entry to cross the finish
line, posting a 6k time of 22:20, good for 88th place in
the 279-runner field. Junior Tess Gallegos was the next Eagle to
check in, registering a performance of 22:32, placing
117th overall. Rounding out the team’s
scorers were sophomore Melanie Frank (22:56), Sara Gelb (22:59) and
sophomore Calley Edwards (23:44). The top individual runner
was Wendy Pavlus of St. Lawrence with a time of 20:49.
